Two american ghostbusters in Rome

Do they believe in ghosts in their everyday life?
Jensen Ackles: “I believe there is something that surrounds us, a certain energy… Yet I’m not one that jumps to the conclusion it must be something supernatural. For instance, if in the night I hear a sinister noise, I think it must be a thief or the wind, not a ghost for sure!”.

Jared Padalecki: “I agree. I don’t believe in ghosts, but if I saw one I would call Dean Winchester!” (He bursts out laughing).

Is there something you share with your characters: personality, clothing…
Jared: “I have a lot in common with Sam. I am a reflective guy, but if action is needed, I am ready to go. As for clothes, Sam is like me, he needs to feel comfortable. In my spare time I wear jeans, a shirt or a t-shirt and (he raises a leg to show his shoes) sneakers.. But when I have to look elegant I slip into my tuxedo! Thanks to this convention I visited Ferragamo’s atelier … I saw some stunning tuxedos!”.

Jensen: “Dean and I share a similar clothing style (he says so looking at his clothes): jeans, t-shirts, combat boots and a few leather cuffs. Clothes are important, because the character starts from there. The mere fact I am wearing unusual clothes turns me into someone else.”

What is fashion for you?
Jensen: “It’s a way to express yourself. Sometimes I see someone particularly well-dresses and I steal some ideas… yet I am not fashionable, my wife is (actress Daneel Harris, Editor’s note) and she suggests me what to wear”.

Jared: “It’s like your business card: what you wear speaks about you. But I don’t follow trends, I wear what I like and I think I look good in it”.

The best days of his life

Soap Opera News talks to Jensen Ackles – who plays Sami’s long-lost twin – after his first experience as a member of the Brady Bunch

The first thing you notice about Jensen Ackles – aside from his boyish good looks – is that while he’s from deep in the heart of Texas, he barely has a Southern accent. “Many people in Dallas don’t have a thick accent,” he says.” Plus my dad never had one, because he’s a performer.” But, Ackles admits, the South can shine through. “Sometimes I’ll say ‘y’all’.”

But don’t expect any y’alls from Ackles’ mouth while he`s playing Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives. The young actor, previously seen on the short-lived NBC sitcom Mr. Rhodes, has been thrust into one of the hottest storylines on daytime, and he’s not about to blow it.

“I try not to think about it that way”, Ackles says of the pressures of entering such a high-velocity plot. It`s a job, and for the most part, I`m having fun. I just look at is as a way to meet new people, work on a new set and made new relationships.”
