Since last week, Texas has been affected by a winter storm and freezing temperatures which resulted in floods and power outages. It seems Ackles family is still in Colorado, but both Jensen and Danneel shared on social media how they have been helping and how you can also help.
Last Sunday, October 11, Jensen joined the cast of Dazed and Confused for a table read included in an initiative to promote voting in Texas. In the initiative were actors as Matthew McConaughey, Adriane Palicki (who portrayed Jessica in Supernatural) and Zachary Levi.

On October 11, the cast members of 1993’s movie Dazed and Confused will reunite virtually for a script reading which aims to raise funds to support initiatives which promote the voting. After the reading, Patton Oswalt will interview some guests and Jensen will be one of them.

A video from behind the scenes of the road safety campaign Heads Up Texas, which Jensen helped promoting, was released.
Jensen is the face of Texas Department of Transportation‘s Heads Up Texas campaign which aims to raise awareness of the dangers of the use of mobile phones while driving.
The inauguration date of Family Business Beer Company is coming soon and they released a new photo of Jensen and Danneel promoting the website and the official products they are selling. It was also announced that the store will open to the public in December.
The charity campaign to support the victims of hurricane Harvey created by Jensen and his friends/colleagues was now named Stronger Than Storms. The channel The CW, which joined them recently, published a video with some actors of their shows asking everyone’s help. Besides the associations we’ve already mentioned, the proceeds will also go to SPCA of Texas.

The fundraising campaign to help the victims of hurricane Harvey is still going and it got already more than 280 000 dollars. Jensen left a new message today on Instagram thanking for all donations. The campaign, which was initially created by Family Business Beer Company in partnership with Random Acts, joined forces with The CW and together they will donate money to some associations such as Americares, Texas Diaper Bank and Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team. Just two days ago, Jensen and the team of Family Business Beer Company launched a fundraising compaign to help the victims of hurricane Harvey and more than 160 000 dollars were already donated until now. Both Jensen and Danneel published thank you messages.
Also, according to CNN, Jensen will donate personally 50 000 dollars to the cause. The fundraising compaign will be open until Friday here.
The hurricane Harvey is hitting the state of Texas and Jensen has been leaving several messages on his social networks since he is from Texas and his family is in Austin. The hurricane has caused floods, leaving some families homeless, and therefore the brewery Family Business Beer Company joined forces with Random Acts for a fundraising to help the victims of this natural disaster.
