We received bad news at the end of this week: The Winchesters, the Supernatural prequel and spin-off produced by Chaos Machine Productions (Jensen and Danneel’s company), was cancelled after one season by The CW. The channel was recently bought by other company and their strategy changed, which resulted in the cancellation of several shows, including The Winchesters. In meanwhile, a movement was created on social media with the hashtag #SaveTheWinchesters after the release of the following video.

Jensen and Danneel were promoting Supernatural prequel, The Winchesters, with the press during this week. Some new articles and a video were released about what we can expect from the show. TV Guide also dedicated the new cover of the magazine to the show. The Winchesters is also the first show produced by Chaos Machine Productions where Jensen and Danneel are both executive producers. New York Comic Con will host a panel dedicated to The Winchesters on October 9. Jensen and Danneel will be there with the leading actors of the show, Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger.

The panel is scheduled for 2 pm EST at Empire Stage after the screening of the pilot episode. The show premieres October 11 on The CW.

The first promotional video of The Winchesters was presented at The CW Upfront. The show tells the story of Mary and John Winchester and is narrated by Dean Winchester. Supernatural prequel, The Winchesters, was officially confirmed by The CW. The show is produced by Chaos Machine Productions, the new company of Jensen and Danneel, and will have Jensen narrating Mary and John Winchester’s story. The first episode of the show was recently filmed and sent to evaluation by the channel, which now ordered the full season 1 of the show.

Considering this announcement, we think it is possible that Jensen will attend CW Upfronts on May 19, where the shows of the channel are officially presented. Among confirmed shows with The Winchesters, there are also a Walker spin-off produced by Jared Padalecki and a new show, Gotham Knights, which has Misha Collins as Harvey Dent.
